Our commitment

Bike 88 is committed to making bike88.us usable by everyone, including riders who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Standard we work to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done

• Text and background color combinations are tested to meet AA contrast ratios
• Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
• A skip link lets keyboard users bypass the navigation
• Headings follow a logical order and landmarks are marked up semantically
• Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
• Form fields have persistent, programmatically associated labels
• The layout reflows to 320px without horizontal scrolling and supports text resizing to 200%
• Motion and transitions are reduced automatically when your system requests it
• The site does not rely on color alone to convey information

Known limitations

This site is new and under active development. As we add product listings and a checkout, new components will be introduced. We test each addition, but if something does not work with your assistive technology, we want to hear about it — a report from a real user is worth more than any audit.

Third-party content

Some functionality may depend on third-party services whose accessibility we do not fully control. Where we have a choice, we select vendors with a documented accessibility commitment.

Tell us about a problem

Email ride@bike88.us with the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology and browser you were using. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days.

If you cannot complete something on this site, contact us and we will help you complete it directly. No one should be unable to buy a bike because of how our website is built.
